Shira Wachtel, founder and principal of Trillium Creative,
has over 12 years of experience as a graphic designer, creative director
and manager. Her background in marketing and business strategy complements
her design abilities, and distinguishes her in the creative industry.
Ms. Wachtel graduated with honors from Washington University
in St. Louis, where she received her BFA in Graphic Communications. Her
belief that design should support business objectives led Ms. Wachtel
to the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management,
where she earned an MBA in Marketing and Business Strategy.
Ms. Wachtel began her career as a freelance designer
at several well-known Chicago design firms. In January 1998, she took
a design position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. In 2000, Ms.
Wachtel was promoted to Art Director, a position that allowed her to help
manage the creative and strategic direction of the Chicago Fed Design
Group. During her tenure, the department became recognized as one of the
best design groups in the Federal Reserve System. She produced award-winning
Annual Reports, and art directed projects including the national Federal
Reserve Financial Services branding program.
Ms. Wachtel founded Trillium Creative in 2003. Trillium has enjoyed
steady growth since its inception, with over 30 clients including
Residential Loan Centers of America (RLCA), Capsim Management Simulations,
Inc., Ossanna Consulting Group, DePaul University, and Governors State
University.
Ms. Wachtel has been an Adjunct Professor at The International Academy
of Design and Technology (IADT) and serves on their advisory board.
She is also an active member of the American Institute of Graphic
Arts, National Association of Women Business Owners, FTWN, and
the Professional Women’s Club of Chicago. |
